Location: Birmingham (Field-based, travel across the UK)
Salary: £36,000 – £45,000 – (OTE £50,000)
Shift: Monday to Friday

Engineering @365 is partnering with a specialist engineering business delivering high-performance HVAC, air handling, and dehumidification systems across a range of industrial and technical applications. We are recruiting a hands-on Field Service Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join the service team.

This is a UK-wide field-based role, with occasional overnight stays required to service, install, and maintain systems at customer sites.

Job Description:

As an HVAC Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, air handling, and dehumidification systems.
  • Electrical and mechanical diagnostics, fault finding, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Reading and working from wiring schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Completing service documentation, reports, and parts records.
  • Liaising with customers to provide updates, advice, and on-site guidance.
  • Feeding back operational insights to support product improvement and reliability.

Travel:

UK-wide with occasional overnight stays. All travel and accommodation arranged to ensure a balanced work-life schedule.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, HVAC Service Engineer, or Air Handling Engineer.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills, ideally in HVAC, air handling, dehumidification, or process equipment.
  • Hold a recognised electrical qualification such as 17th Edition, 18th Edition, or Level 3 Electrical Installation.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
  • Experience with air handling units, dehumidifiers, chillers, or climate control systems preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent) advantageous.
  • Confident, proactive, and capable of working independently on customer sites.
