Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering business that is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join their workshop team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator with a strong background in structural steel fabrication, who is confident working from technical drawings and takes pride in producing high-quality steelwork.
The Role
As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings
- Measuring and marking out steel sections
- Cutting, drilling and preparing steelwork for fabrication
- Assembling structural steel components
- Tack welding and fitting components where required
- Operating fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely
- Working accurately to technical drawings and specifications
- Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
- Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and organised
- Following all relevant health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in structural steel fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
- Experience measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling steel sections
- Confident using workshop fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Quality-focused approach to your work
- Reliable and proactive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
